Amália and The Flowers Collection was designed in collaboration with the Amália Rodrigues Foundation to honor the iconic fado singer. This collection, inspired by Amália's relationship with flowers, captures her unique connection to nature and her emotional approach to life.
Every day she whispered to the flowers, urging them to grow. In the end, it was always they who watered her hope. If not to love them in this perhaps crazy way, then why make them so beautiful, why so fragrant?
She would sit before the daisies and ponder: seeds are born light so they can fly far from the mother tree. Nearby, they would never become what they were meant to be. As long as there is a bud yet to bloom, with no experience of the soil, there is hope. And so she opened herself to them.
She blooms at night, in the company of her lunar friends. It takes a room full of people for her to feel ready. If we try to force open the petals, the flower dies. Maybe that's why she never minded not knowing the exact day she was born - “it was during cherry season.”
The greatest qualities one can have are: to smell with our own nose, to see with our own eyes, to touch with our own fingers. She admired the unpredictable palette of colors, which she used to match with her clothes and her home. To sing, she cloaked her shyness in black.
In the fields of flowers dancing in the wind, she found the freedom she longed for, as if each flower were an invitation to soar beyond her own limitations.
She embraces each day, living it to the fullest and sharing precious moments with her friends. Her concern for comfort is matched only by her quest for authentic elegance.
She charts her own course, following her passions and capturing the beauty of wildflowers, defying conventions without hesitation.
She understands the essence of what truly matters, and right now, her priority is to dive headfirst into a day filled with vibrant colors and sincere desires.
