This has been a point of great importance for the Municipality of Gondomar. As the years and generations go by, there is growing concern about the dwindling number of fillers and filigree makers, since the vast majority of the current ones were taught by family members and past generations.
To combat this phenomenon and preserve this great art of our country, a tourist product called the Filigree Route was created. The Route aims to showcase and value the genuine goldsmiths of Gondomar and also includes visits to larger factories.
